Have you ever wondered why God allows us to suffer? Or why some people have to go through excruciating pain, whether physically or emotionally? The Bible has our answers, and I hope it can encourage you.
In our Bible, we can see the lives of many people who suffered. Elijah, Job, Davis, the apostle Paul...even Jesus Himself. But out of their mess came a message. Out of their test came a testimony.
See, God allows us to experience pain and suffering for two reasons:
First, pain and suffering are a result of the fall. God never intended for humanity to suffer and hurt. But because we disobeyed, suffering is inevitable.
Second, pain and suffering allow us to display the power of God. When we handle our trials prayerfully, people notice a difference in us. People will wonder how we can handle our circumstances without losing our sanity. Our trials have the potential to point to Jesus.
In the Hebrew, God is referred to as Jehovah Rapha, which means God my Healer. It's my personal favorite name because of the things I experience on a daily basis. God can use your pain to lead someone to Him. Don't give up. Help is on the way.
