Last night I was studying God's Word when I happened to look up and realize that my bedroom is a mess. Again.
But I woke up this morning with a powerful message about that situation that I believe will help you. There is no coincident that you will be reading this. I pray that it blesses you.

I waited patiently for the LORD; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry; He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a solid rock, and established my goings. - Psalms 40:1-2

I don't know about you but I hate messes. But somehow I keep getting myself into them. I let clutter build up and never put things back where they belong. But God loves messes. It's where He works best.
The best example I can give you is the powerful time I spent with Him in the midst of my bedroom's clutter. God met me exactly where I was despite the mess. It's funny because before I opened my Bible, I prayed, "God, meet me where I'm at. I don't know what I'm doing, but teach me tonight". He certainly taught me a valuable lesson.
God doesn't care about the messes. He doesn't care that your hair hasn't been brushed all day or that the kids spilled ketchup all over the table. He looks over that to get to your heart. Friend, where's your heart? Is it in the mess? Or is it sitting at the feet of Jesus waiting on the spiritual clean-up crew to arrive?
There's a message in your mess. There's a testimony in your test.
Don't let the mess distract you from seeking Jesus. Don't let the clutter take up your time and resources. God can pull you out of that mess if you will only ask.
It's funny that I wasn't even aware of my mess until I looked away from my Bible. Peter did the same thing when he tried to walk to Jesus on the stormy waters of Galilee. He looked AWAY from Jesus and suddenly become aware of his mess; he was sinking. But he cried out to Jesus and was pulled out from his seemingly hopeless mess.
Friend, whatever mess you have, God's willing and able to help you clean it. There's nothing too big or too hard for our Heavenly Father.
