Let’s step away from Bible study for a moment. Let’s take a break from going through the motions. Let’s simply sit at the feet of Jesus...and be encouraged.
No matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been, God is there with open arms ready to welcome you. For the believer, God’s promises in His Word never return void. They hold true for those who trust in Him. His power is infinite, His knowledge is infinite. He knows every fiber of your being. Friend, never lose faith. Never lose hope. Never lose sight of who God is because He knows you. He knows you by name.
Your faith might have grown dim, but remember that Jesus is the light of the world. When hope grows dark...when that call from the doctor is less than happy...when your health is slipping...when that child has gone astray...when the bank account is running empty...trust in God. Grab hold of His truth.
The phrase “hope thou in God” is proclaimed over and over again throughout the words of David. David went through some pretty tough things, but he had the courage and strength to lift his head and claim victory through Almighty God.
God is your Father. God is your friend. God is your strength and your hope. He is your refuge and a very present help in time of trouble. Don’t trust in the things of this world. Those things will fail you. Man will fail you. Man will disappoint you. But if you just reach out to the Lord Jesus Christ, He will help. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Run to the Father. Run to Him. I promise you that you’ll never be the same.
