Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so excited to bring you this short little study on Psalm 118, and I believe that it will help you grow in your faith.
I feel like too often we forget to be thankful. Yes, it's great to reflect on all of the things we're thankful for on Thanksgiving, but what about the other 364 days of the year? God commands us in His Word to be thankful!
This year, I have developed a FREE printable that you can download and share with friends. It is a short but sweet Bible study on Psalm 118. It highlights what it means to be thankful and a few reminders about who God is and what He has done for us. It also includes a section at the bottom for further study and reflection.
Take a moment and think about the things you might be thankful for:
Is it family?
Friends?
Food on your table?
Those are some big things to be thankful for and rightfully so, BUT, what about the little things?
The cup of coffee or tea sitting next to you.
The sound of crunchy autumn leaves.
The feeling of that nice comfy couch you're probably sitting on.
I hope you're thankful for those things too. God has richly and abundantly blessed us, and too often we forget about that. We forget that, without God, we would have absolutely NONE of those things.
But there is one thing that we need to truly be thankful for if you are a child of God. God loved you so much 2,000 years ago that He was willing to descend from Heaven and humble Himself to die on the cross for you. He GAVE HIS LIFE for YOU! He shed every drop of blood in His body for you. Because of that, you have a chance to go to Heaven. Are we thankful for that each and every day?
I hope so.
I also hope that you and your loved ones have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I know times are tough and I know there is so much to be discouraged about, but Jesus loves you and I do too.
Please enjoy the free printable and make sure to share the study with your friends and loved ones. <3
